When I served in Vietnam (1970-71), I used both black & white and color film. I could get some dramatic photos with B&W film. A really good book titled "The History of the Vietnam War"is a pictorial history of the war and half the photographs are black and white. By Douglas Welsh 192 pages. Highly recommend this book to all Vietnam Vets. -

The cyper on the handguard looks to me like a GRV. I would translate that as George Rex V or King George the 5th. He was king from 1910-1936 according to Wikipedia. I have no clue regarding value.
