Hi, It looks more like a USAF vintage American-made version of bullion pilot wings to me. Certainly, the backing is more similar to later American-made insignia. British stuff tends to be on a wool melton-type material and usually lacks that stiffener fabric. But I may be wrong. Its a nice wing, in any case. -

It does not match the US made nor the Philippine made Alamo Scout patch. Per my reference this patch has surfaced at least once before and was offered for sale on eBay by coorsonttap out of Lutz, Florida. -

They do exist! Apologies for the incorrect assessment. -

I just won this at a local auction for next to nothing. I'm not a patch guy, but I took a chance on it anyway. -

Nice! Wish we had some flea markets where I am, but there just not common, plus what I noticed when I was out east is that the stuff is generally cheaper. I guess it’s just a California thing… Great finds! -

Very nice; I grew up in Minnesota and used to get all sorts of great stuff from farm auctions even if the owners were not vets. Kurt -

Everything on the table is what I bought today. Ever since I was 10 I’ve been buying and selling things that don’t interest me to make money to collect military. -

Went to another great country auction today. Bunch of cool old farming tools, implements and early 20th century swag. There were a lot of old ww2 era ammo crates stuffed in a barn, I knew there had to be something somewhere. Then I saw it, a Japanese bayonet, amongst a bunch of drill bits and glass jars filled with screws and bolts. It was pretty dirty, it had probably been hiding in the barn for 80 years but I knew it would clean up nicely. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) only one other person bid on it. He must not have wanted it to badly because I got it for $60.00. I'm pretty sure it's early to mid war. I've never been a bayonet expert, if anyone has any insight please let me know, Thanks!
