Thanks for the comment Dennis, good to know that some of them might not fit the AR. I wonder if it was a problem with the bayonet or the lug on the rifle. As I understand it, many manufacturers of AR-15s made them with non functional lugs or non milspec lugs during the time period these were made by Sarco. I would love to get one (or multiples) for $29 but these days even getting one for a $100 seems like a good deal when most are going for at least $200-$300.

K:   Yes, in my opinion you should just carefully open it and then you and any buyer will know exactly what is inside.  Otherwise, you will have to look for a gambler willing to pay what you think is the full freight price.  That is certainly possible, of course, but in my experience most collectors are not eager to bet big dollars on Door Number 3.   I don't remember ever seeing one in an unopened box.  How about posting some pics of it here?   Charlie
