I have #7742. The Marines often removed the front sight protector ears and filed a "V" notch on the rear sight for better sight picture when shooting at night. A much better rifle than an M1 when you really compare and fire to two. I have entered matches with mine and there is quite a noticeable muzzle blast compared to the M1 rifle, and the other shooters would get annoyed and request that I move to the end of the firing line as it was distracting them and messing up their shooting abilities. I stayed put and took second place. SSG Mac -

Great knife and 100% original. I use to see them at the flea markets in like condition and bought a couple as a kid for $15 each. Found a couple MK1 with the wrap as well when I bought a few items form a local lady. I think her husband got them at the surplus store after WW2. Her son wanted to keep one of the knives at the time. Ended up with one. -

Not a problem. More than likely will disappear with shooting and I have shot a lot worse. SSG Mac -

For an officer, it's not realistic to take apart a rearview mirror to shave. Did he lose his toiletry bag? lol Sol. -

Thanks Wailuna +++ Much appreciated. Yes I did find that record and actually used BOTH of the Photos from that wall. The Information page is posted and maintained by his NEPHEW I sent a message a month or so ago. But will not pursue any further, I have know idea what emotions these items and records can bring back to the surface so better to leave it alone. I made an attempt but wont be pursuing any further. Ken, What's funny is that I can totally picture you sitting in your jeep, in the rain, top down and sipping a cup of coffee. ...Kat
