His son-in-law, Major Thomas Taylor Galloway (USMA '42), was a fighter pilot (in the 436th Fighter Squadron) who was also killed in Europe (France) during WWII (24 Jul 1944). Maj. Thomas Taylor “Tom” Galloway (1919-1944) - Find a Grave Memorial General Almond died in San Antonio, Texas in 1979. VMI still awards the Lieutenant General Edward Mallory Almond '15 Award annually to the First Classman (senior) for academic, athletic, and military excellence. There is also a portrait of the general in the VMI library (showing him wearing the X Corps SSI). It is on the same floor as the portrait of then-General George C. Marshall, VMI '01, when he was serving as the Army Chief of Staff during WWII. -

I got started on the restoration of the Green MBU-12 I still need a large green cable keeper and the 4707 cord before I get the J bayonets. Though I can switch out the Amp with the larger one for the MBU-12 as the whole assembly is for the MBU-20 but it fits anyways. This mask is late 84 manufacture the Grey one 94 manufacture. The hoses for both are literally 4-5 years apart though in manufacture. Green on green hose is from late 83 and the grey on green hose is from around 87-88. -

There was a Post that showed a whole load of mostly Italian Made patches, some with Tabs, being worn by men on a Troop Ship coming home, a video, with individual screen caps by member, remember that? Can't find the topic, need help, hope it wasn't one of the topics that got deleted. -

My family has three documents that have been sitting in folders or drawers since 1865 and I want to display them while also preserving them. They are promotions to higher non-com ranks and signed by the regimental commander or adjutant. One is from the 2nd Wisconsin and signed by Lucious Fairchild. Can a local framer handle this? Guessing UV glass? Anything special I should ask for? -
