Grant Bias Posted September 15, 2017 Share #53 Posted September 15, 2017 I know that this isn't Ranger related, but I thought it was neat that this grouping is to another POW at Stalag II B. He was Pvt. Edward LeCarpentier, 509th Parachute Infantry Bn.

KASTAUFFER Posted September 15, 2017 Author Share #62 Posted September 15, 2017 Those are some awesome POW groups Grant! Ive been trying to find one of those Stalag IIB cards for a while and they are tough to find. I have also notices Stalag IIB tags seem to be prone to snapping in half more than other camps. KASTAUFFER Posted November 20, 2017 Author Share #63 Posted November 20, 2017 Update! I just got Tucker's complete file from the Archives courtesy of Mark Sanders. His POW ID # was confirmed which 100% attributes the Stalag 17B tag to him.

wooley12 Posted November 21, 2017 Share #68 Posted November 21, 2017 I'm a student of 1st Ranger Btn "C" Co. as my father was in it and this is a great trove of documents. Thanks. I thought that it was interesting that the newspaper described his seeing "relatively mild action" at Venefro. It was really though fighting for "C" Co. there when he came in as one of replacements. "The new guys".
