KASTAUFFER Posted September 10, 2017 Author Share #26 Posted September 10, 2017 There's some unusual coincidence with this getting bumped back up just now...because Kurt just got this group back in his collection! I wonder who I got it back from ?
Grant Bias Posted September 15, 2017 Share #27 Posted September 15, 2017 Here are my POW groupings. First one is to Sgt. Jack Stafford, Co. "D", 1st Ranger Bn. captured at Cisterna, Italy. One of the best parts to this group is a seventeen page diary of his service time in the army with at least ten pages dedicated to the battle of Cisterna and how he got captured. Grant Bias Posted September 15, 2017 Share #30 Posted September 15, 2017 On the bottom half of his Stalag Identification card is his own hand written account of being liberated by the Russians and he fought with them for a while. He drew a route map of where he went after being liberated.
