ThreeMile Posted February 9, 2024 #1 Posted February 9, 2024 I finally got a nice display completed for my bayonet collection. It's a good way to display both the bayonet and scabbard. And it only takes up some wall space.
lmrobil Posted February 9, 2024 #3 Posted February 9, 2024 Looks great, very professional looking. Could you please provide some details about how they're mounted? Thx Lance
ThreeMile Posted February 9, 2024 Author #5 Posted February 9, 2024 Here are a couple of photos on how I mounted the bayonet and scabbard. I hand cut the T block on a bandsaw and screwed it in from the back. The bayonet is wired to the scabbard and then slides over the T block.
lmrobil Posted February 12, 2024 #9 Posted February 12, 2024 Very creative. Gives a different look than just flat mounting like most are. Looks great!!!
Mr.Jerry Posted April 22, 2024 #10 Posted April 22, 2024 Very cool- I really like the use of the belt on there too. Gives it some context.
Ronald Posted April 22, 2024 #11 Posted April 22, 2024 Wouldn't a nylon zip tie be better than twisting a piece of wire around it?
BenjaminM Posted October 2, 2024 #14 Posted October 2, 2024 I think the belt really sets off the bayonets really, really well. It gives it a real "jungle" vibe. A really wonderful display idea.
