HOF Posted January 9 Share #1 Posted January 9 I am a patch guy, but have picked up a few wings lately. I bought this cause I liked all the extra hallmarks on the back, Based on the post about Meyer markings, I believe this to be mid 50s to mid 60s. I have two questions: 1.) Should I clean them? Normally I would leave them alone, but they look pretty dirty. 2.) They are marked 9/M for Meyer. Does anyone have a list with the other codes? manayunkman Posted January 9 Share #2 Posted January 9 Nice wing that I would leave alone. Somewhere on the forum I remember seeing the information you seek.
rathbonemuseum.com Posted January 9 Share #3 Posted January 9 The codes are posted in the HALLMARKS sub forum. i would only do a simple wash with dish soap and a toothbrush. These types had a factory lacquer/patina finish that you don’t want to polish with metal cleaners.
