What boots would a USN pilot wear in Vietnam

there was a brown type of flight boot that was common in the Navy and Marines.  Someone had made a post devoted to them on here.

In Country Naval Aviators, like your Helicopter Units of the Brown Water Navy, they wore the Jungle Boots and or high Top Boondockers from Marine Stores we should think, though the Jungle Boot was verboten within the Army because of it's Nylon parts, which would melt causing serious burn injuries to the foot and ankle, many still wore them instead of the prescribed Leather Combat Boot, perhaps it was the same in the Navy.

Jungle boots were in fact unauthorized for flight wear in the Army but it was fairly later in the war.  Up to early 1969 some Army aircrews were still wearing them and even jungle fatigues til the 2 piece nomex flight suits starting to come in supply more.  My father was a Army pilot and arrived there May 69 and at that point he was issued 2 piece nomex flight suits and they wore the standard Army leather combat boots for flight wear.  He did have 1 pair of jungle boots and a single set of jungle fatigues for non flying duties.  Navy stuff was obviously different but they did have the FRP-1 nomex flight suits a bit before the Army go their 2 piece plus they were also first to have the FRP-1 nomex gloves before the Army.  I know one Army pilot who flew with my father who actually was there a little bit before and was able to scrounge up a Navy 1 piece FRP-1 flight suit to wear before he got the 2 piece.  He also was able to find a USAF SRU-21/P survival vest somewhere since it was before the Army officially adopted a survival vest for rotary wing crews
