dmar836 Posted July 7, 2021 #4 Posted July 7, 2021 Looks like it is. I'm guessing this is civi. Boasting of transcontinental flight.

doyler Posted July 7, 2021 #6 Posted July 7, 2021 They show up on ebay fairly often. NEver have seen a ID on the patch.
patches Posted July 7, 2021 #7 Posted July 7, 2021 Here we are, seems like member dmar's on to something, see how one of the world is day the other night. Maybe a special fight to fly from the the eastern to the western hemisphere in a 24 hour period????
joeclown Posted July 7, 2021 #8 Posted July 7, 2021 My guess is civilian post WW2 plane could maybe be a Connie
Doctorofwar Posted July 7, 2021 #9 Posted July 7, 2021 Hard to tell by the generic nature of the aircraft depiction but a Connie would have a different tail profile. With the “around the world” subject matter I would venture a guess it is supposed to be the B-50 Lucky Lady II the first aircraft to fly around the world non stop in 1949.
