They show up on ebay fairly often. NEver have seen a ID on the patch.

Here we are, seems like member dmar's on to something, see how one of the world is day the other night. Maybe a special fight to fly from the the eastern to the western hemisphere in a 24 hour period????

My guess is civilian post WW2 plane could maybe be a Connie

Hard to tell by the generic nature of the aircraft depiction but a Connie would have a different tail profile. With the “around the world” subject matter I would venture a guess it is supposed to be the B-50 Lucky Lady II the first aircraft to fly around the world non stop in 1949.
