Bob Hudson Posted January 13, 2021 #1 Posted January 13, 2021 I did a video on how to set up the M-1965 jungle hammock produced during the Vietnam War. Click to play:
Keystone Posted January 13, 2021 #2 Posted January 13, 2021 Very informative Bob, Thank you. I notice you didn't try it out for a nap. Tim

Brian Keith Posted January 14, 2021 #4 Posted January 14, 2021 Very nice! I didn't not realize they made these during the VN war, I just have seen the WW II era ones and have a couple. Always heard they wern't used much, afraid they would get bayonetted in the middle of the night. BKW

BKW These weighed almost 4 pounds so they came up with an M-1966 model Jungle Hammock that was just over one pound. They trapped humidity inside, making them uncomfortable, but then I would imagine any sleeping system for jungle combat is not going to be a good night's rest.
