John4022 Posted January 13, 2021 #1 Posted January 13, 2021 Hi guys, what do you think about this 101st patch? I'm thinking it could be Japanese made. Thank you, John
John4022 Posted January 13, 2021 Author #3 Posted January 13, 2021 Thank you! The closest match I could find was on this forum and it was deemed Japanese made. Maybe its British?
ocsfollowme Posted January 13, 2021 #4 Posted January 13, 2021 EBay is blowing up with those two auctions for sure. Everyone is already watching them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Lot-U-S-Military-Patches-Stickers-Metal-Badges-Bars-WWII-ROTC-Lot-2/254833291540?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055359.m1431.l2649 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Lot-U-S-Military-Patches-Stickers-Metal-Badges-Bars-WWII-ROTC-Lot-3/254833297491?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055359.m1431.l2649
John4022 Posted January 13, 2021 Author #5 Posted January 13, 2021 Yes I have already told the seller not to end them early. She has already got offers around $1250.
John4022 Posted January 13, 2021 Author #6 Posted January 13, 2021 I also let her know the 101st patches are where the moneys at and thats why she just posted better photos. Anyone know the origin of these two patches? German-Britain-Japan-Pakistan?
Longhorn92 Posted January 14, 2021 #7 Posted January 14, 2021 I can’t find a similar one in the Keller, Angolia, Delaitre, or Bando patch books. The bullion looks different. I always wonder about the backs being covered up. Having said that, I have no clue if the ones on eBay are real or not. But I do hope the bidders do their homework.
Bill Scott Posted January 15, 2021 #8 Posted January 15, 2021 It looks British made to me and that's just my opinion.Scotty
John4022 Posted January 15, 2021 Author #9 Posted January 15, 2021 Thank you guys! I'm not bidding on it but its certainly a nice opportunity to learn.
irish Posted January 16, 2021 #10 Posted January 16, 2021 Following both these lot’s to see where they end up. They have both cracked the 1K mark with one group over $1100.00..... people are dedicated to their 101st patches.
Thor996 Posted January 17, 2021 #11 Posted January 17, 2021 wow. These are going into the stratosphere!
