I haven't posted much on the main forum lately so i thought I would share some items from my own personal Navy Collection from my time on the USS John F. Kennedy. I served on active duty from 1985 - 1989 and in the reserved through 1994. I was already collecting when I went in so I kept many artifacts while I was in. I managed to get all of the squadron patches and some of the cruise and Department patches from my time on board as well as some other mementos. Included are a American Flag and Commissioning pennant given to me by some signalman friends when I left and a Battle lantern that I saved from being pitched when a storage locker was cleaned out. I have other material not photographed that is still in storage but I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the material I saved. The pic of me was taken in Emergency Steering in 1987, I got out as a QM2

Great Stuff Bob! I like the belt buckle in the original box. I'll bet the day Miss America 1977 signed your hat was a very memorable day! I see she was on a USO tour to Korea then.

Thanks for posting these, really nice patch collection also!

She was actually part of the USO show held on the deck of the Kennedy in July 1986 for the rededication of the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. Also part of the show was Brooke Shields and President and Miss Reagan were there as well for the rededication.
