mtnman Posted September 22, 2022 #76 Posted September 22, 2022 Just magnificent Tod. These are the wings of most unique and lasting fascination with me, the theater made, one of a kind designs brought forth by men who wanted exactly that pinned to their chest, a one of a kind wing. Thanks for bringing this magnificent piece to the thread!
5thwingmarty Posted September 24, 2022 #77 Posted September 24, 2022 The last wing Tod shared was part of an incredible grouping from a long-serving veteran. I believe from the ribbons and other insignia on the uniform along with this wing that the uniform was from the Korean War timeframe. I think there was another standard issue Aircrew wing in the grouping. The seller was asking five figures for the grouping.
rathbonemuseum.com Posted October 2, 2022 #78 Posted October 2, 2022 Adding some K.G. Luke models. Pilot, Glider or Gunner and Engineer.
mtnman Posted October 2, 2022 #79 Posted October 2, 2022 The definition of a one-of-a-kind is a theater make modified by the pilot! Historical, precious and memorable indeed. Thanks for sharing man!
rathbonemuseum.com Posted June 8 #80 Posted June 8 Adding this new find from @Bull Moose. In my opinion this is an original example.
