Those are some wonderful photos. What a different world. I know I'm very guilty of romanticizing that time but at least at that point it must have felt like a great adventure

I suppose at that time they knew what was coming, very interesting. My dad had California photos from '42 when he was in training and then off to the Pacific.

Question.., on the back of a lot of Dad's photos from 1941 are the words:

 

A.C.T.D., Ontario, CA.

 

 

Anyone know what those stand for?

 

Air Corps training division?

OK.. great.., makes sense as they were on their way to Cal Aero.. just did not know what ACTD was..
