manayunkman Posted September 5, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 5, 2012 The first mistake Ms Snyder made was to let me in the house. Amongst other things I found this. Her brothers burial flag from WW2. I think it is addressed to his mom but came from sister. He was a bomber crewman who was shot down over Europe. The bracelet was found in the box under the flag sometime after I had it. She still retains the engraved Air Medal.

Mr.Jerry Posted September 5, 2012 Share #10 Posted September 5, 2012 Very nice flag with history. I would write all of his information on a tag and secure it to the flag. One of my other flag collecting friends writes on the flag header with permanent marker, but I have not come to terms with doing that. Nice to see the letter that accompanies it. I have had several dozen flags, a dozen boxes, but only one letter.
