One small item I like to collect is USMC honorable discharge buttons. They vary according to EGA, button on back, and in other ways. Here are the few I have collected so far.

nice pins. The pinbacks were generally issued to females who don't tend to have button holes on their lapels. I, too, hold onto these when I get a variant. Think I have 7 or 8, will have to check if any are different than yours and post them here. There are actually quite a few variants, and some can bring 20-30 bucks each, if not more, at auction

Brig,

I did not know the pin back were for women. Thanks for the info!

Also, thanks for the new one in my collection! ;)

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I can't afford helmets and other high priced items so I LOVE little USMC items like this.
It is interesting trying to find variations.

Thanks again....Kat

I would imagine that there is a pin back that is Pink.

Kat,

Always great to see another angle on collecting.

I never imagined there were variations to these pins.

Thank you for waking me up.

Why would you imagine that?
