Old thread, but I think this question belongs here: I ran across a first gen MOLLE vest setup (separate vest and belt, 2 buckles, no zipper), but the belt has a strange tag and nomenclature with a stock number that starts with "LSN". I googled it and "LSN" stands for "Local Stock Number" per the DLA.  The fact the last four of the "LSN" is "XXXX" is suspect - like the number hasn't been figured out yet (could it be a very early mfg? Could it be non-military?  The fact that LCN is a legitimate military numbering system leads me to believe this may be pre-production, but that's maybe wishful thinking). Also look how the nomenclature changes. The LCN one has MOLLE then spells out what MOLLE stands for and calls it an "LBV Waistbelt" while the more standard version omits the spell-out and refers to the piece as "Belt, Utility".  I have included pics of both types of tag.  Anybody have any insight on this?

. Hi Kevin,   I can only agree and echo all the comments you made about Rachel, so unassuming and content with their marriage and lifestyle.  It should be illegal the long delay in forming an enquiry, Rachel also Tudors elderly parents should all be informed as soon as possible.  My sister lives a few miles from the place of the accident and there are already whispers reaching the public attention which only makes it worse for everyone, with many locals avoiding travelling on the route of the accident.   Norman D. I am getting close to making the move into retirement, I hate to downsize but am exploring selling of my huge collection. I have many offers for piece sales, but would like “ all or nothing”, very hard to find one buyer.

. Hi earlymb,   Sorry to hear that the oil filter assembly needed some work, but you were able to remedy that.   Pleased to see several of the rarer parts on show, the straight tube dipstick, the unvented cross-over tube to the carburettor, the longer length breathing tube for the side of the block, early intake manifold, etc.     Thanks for the latest post detailing the progress, it's marvellous the dedication working with such limited garage space.    Norman D. I will add, one of my 120mm casings is for the AA Stratosphere Gun , the other for the tank gun. I doubt I will ever find the AA projectile, but who knows?

Aye...when I was young, many people stayed away from "named" medals because "who wants a used medal???" 🤯 (This is a no-kidding story too...the first time I found US medals "in the wild" at a coin shop, this is exactly what the owner told me. "I don't even buy medals with names engraved on them when they come in. No one wants used medals".)

Unrelated to the actual Jeep part, but yesterday was also VERY hot out. Reached 96 degrees (F, not C), record heat for 6/21 EVER. 1910 was the old record at 95 degrees (Also F). That's really hot for a place that got to -60 degrees F less than 30 years ago.
