The theme of this dio is a Mike Force team, post combat operations.  They searched the dead, stripped them of intel and weapons.  One green beret is advising the indig team leader, while the other is on the radio, providing a battle damage assessment (BDA), and calling for extract, signaling his pickup zone (PZ) with purple smoke.

For the smoke effects, I had some synthetic packing fiber I had on hand. This is used in cheap pillows. I painted it violet with my airbrush but after seeing some online pictures, I lightened the color up and air brushes it over small areas. I stretched it and curled it a bit to resemble wind blowing.

What era is the Mauser pocket pistol? .25 or .32 caliber?

The plants in the background were purchased online and already made. In another dio they could also be used as corn. I just poked some holes and stuck them in.  The ground was dirt and Elmer’s glue, mixed with some cut up model scenery grass.
