Hello. I purchased this excellent early American dirk recently. It has gold wire knots/tassels attached to the scabbard rings still. Has anyone here run across these knots on an early American dirk before? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you. --Matthew Brice -

Hello Everyone, I need some help determining if this 1920’s Naval Aviation Observer’s Wing is genuine or a reproduction. It is gold colored, it is marked “STERLING” and “AMICO”, also has a “C” clasp. The reverse looks rough to me. I’m thinking reproduction. If this is a reproduction what would a value be. Thank you for your assistance. Semper Fi, Bruce Linz -

Hello! I’m new to the forum… seeking some experience from yall. I dig for antique bottles, and occasionally I find a unique piece of militaria. Looking to see if I can find any information on this service member, or info about the tag itself. It appears to have belonged to Sgt Kenneth D Goodrich, 2nd Cav Troop H. I haven’t been able to find anything on Sgt Goodrich, so I requested a 214 equivalent. Is it safe to assume May 5 1 is an enlistment date of May 05 1901? The pit was early 1900s, for context. -

I found this today. Curious how many metal flags go in the kit? Matt R -

Thank you for the get back. I posted a couple more photos of the pistol and mags. I looked at the magazines and the mag in the pistol has Colt 45 Auto and the other mag as C- L on the bottom. The pistol has never been re-blued and has been kept in a gun safe since 1996. -

Got a ChiCom rig a while back; it had a piece of green rubber in one of the pouches that had glowing spots when held in the correct lighting. Not sure if it's radioactive, but hey, it's fun to show my nephew. Wade -

It's been a while since I've seen a lot of them, and some are not necessarily 'action' or wartime movies, but they're still nice to mention. Agree, need much better pictures. That being said, yours is a commercial (1937), not USGI. The holster is probably a private purchase as well. Overall condition looks good, unless reblued. Can't tell about the mags. They should have markings on the toe. All-in-all, I would think the grouping should bring $1700/$1800.
