I do not see any other digits…helmet retains a few bits of cork around the rim, repainted during the 60’s with the bright green finish… please don’t hate for using paint remover to find the heat stamp…🤷♂️ -

The parachute guys know. These look good to me but one or both appear to have that washed look(ask me how I know). Photos are upside down so... I have both styles but I think the one of yours might be a seat chute without all parts. The yellow-marked, late war QAC harness/pack looks good. I am about to discredit myself as nobody comments and then, when I finally do, they pounce to tell me I'm way off and they would pay double what I think. I ask if they made an offer and they go silent......always. People are really good at spending other's money. eBay items (sold with bids) is your best search for a worldwide market price. The asking prices around are meaningless IMO. For such items I make very few correlations with what repros bring vs what period harnesses bring. One required an old item, the other requires sourcing the correct parts, learning how to properly make them, valuing your skills, etc. One is a collectible - the other is a product. Consider the most accurate A-2 jackets. For the past decade+, they cost more than an original of the same contract. Different purposes. We live in an economy where collecting is not about getting an item into the best hands and preserving anything but about getting the most money. Sorry for the vent(and thanks) but I would, and have, given items away to the right collector rather than get money to someone wanting to make even more. I have also been given things the same way - some really valuable things like "airborne" first aid kits, etc. I wish I could remember what prices I paid for the harnesses but I know an early, fitted (with original fit stitching) seat chute with all pads and chute, my wife paid too much as a gift and the price at the time is still what they go for. Can't recall on my late date QAC harness either but it was likely near your repro price. I am missing a yellow-tagged pack though. 😉 Let's bump this up rather than me just rambling and whining. Wow. So sad. This hobby is becoming making money rather than preserving history. -

They appear to me to be standard M43 trousers that have had pockets added recently. Way too much difference between the old and new fabric. Looks like I did it! JMO, Dave -

PFC Hanscom definitely saw his fair share of fighting despite being a later draftee! -

Cool images, thanks. I have not seen a 10th Combat Camera Unit patch before. How did you arrive at its identification? Rick -

Hi WALIKA and anyone else, I know these posts were from 2018 or so, but they remain a valuable resource! By any chance did you or anyone else did a follow-up including info, photos and most importantly the unit emblem for the 10th COMBAT CAMERA UNIT (from the CBI)? I’m desperately looking for clear shots of a patch, emblem for this Unit. I believe it should look like the ones in these pics, but unfortunately their resolution is not great at all… Any and all help is highly appreciated! -
