I remember seeing lots of those Scorpions being auctioned off over here, many years ago I picked up an FV105 Sultan (wish I hadn't let it go) . Many came back from BATUS including mine, I guess yours may of come from there too. -

It hurts me to think about all the historic items thave been and still are tossed by the hour because someone deems them "trash"... Great find/save!! -

Yes, i have a strong interest in Armour as I have a FV101 Scorpion with my brother, so we always gather interesting Tank item when they can be found. This home made stitchery originally came from a boot sale near the Charing Cross Station, brought to the US after his schooling a few years back. Nice bit of WWII art work, it will be a gift to my brother at Christmas. Since it is not US I did not post it with the other insignia and such. Hopefully the Admin will allow it once to complete the above story. Cheers Armygas. -

The "human" bring backs are downright disgusting. Though a part of history, things like these should be in a museum and NOT in a personal collection in my opinion... Luckily I have never seen anything like that in person or in a picture... Although, I can imagine, what it would look like (there is a book on Jeffrey Dahmer and his victims out there with... horrifying crime scene pics to say the least, containing body parts). And for me, these kind of things don't have anything to do with "whatever floats your boat" anymore... It is just macabre to say the least -

Hey everyone, picked this up off ebay. looking to see what you guys make of it. Im wondering about the potential veterans info and the name on the lid. Super stoked for it regardless. Dont worry the blue is dykem, was trying to get the scratched name to stand out more. Its been cleaned. i think the lid says harold carroon? Then Mc D scrated across, presumably a 3rd owner? -

I figured it out through my newest magnifier. Look at the lowest button. You can see his collar rank too -

The "abuse" part makes me sick. This could mean two things in a legal sense: Either, that he "misused" them as a collector's item and displaying them, or... I do not want to say what other interpretation comes to mind... People are strange and messed up... -

I’ve noticed a surprisingly big lack of M1895 white uniforms. I understand that in general dress blues would be more popular compared to dress whites but I’ve only seen a handful of photos of white M1895 uniforms
