The knives that I do not understand are the knives listed WW2 U.S. fighting/trench knives made in Japan and Germany.    Is there that many people who don't know who the Allied countries were fighting.

Hello everyone. Is it possible to know what era these patches are from? I bought them separately. The glue remuants on the recruiting command patch were recently added.   Thanks in advance.

That's good to know. I had the suspicion that "no glow" doesn't automatically mean WWII, unlike what all those online guides say out there.

The pattern of teeth not the shape remind me of an old corn sheller. Maybe the pattern in the mold was just laid out differently or modified from some agricultural tooling.  I agree, would look great on one of my shelves. Very nice.

Hi,    I'm just trying to find out more info about this unit. What conflicts and battles did they fight in (specifically, which conflicts did they use the attached SSI in)? What theater did they fight in? Rarity and worth of this patch?   Any help is greatly appreciated! Mike

Some years ago I actually came across an ad from someone seeking used Hitler Youth jock straps  It's true   I don't remember which site it was on.  It wasn't here.   Steve

I have been working on the State National Guards too.  Specific states seem to have their availability come in cycles.  You start to think one is really uncommon, but then all of a sudden you find 3 of that particular state in a month.   So far I have 32 separate states.   I also prefer the arched script ones, but I do collect all versions I can find at reasonable prices.   Though I doubt I will see any Hawaii at what I consider reasonable prices.  I have seen a few of those in the last couple of years and they have been the most expensive collar discs that I have come across.   In the process I have collected militias, home guard, provincial guard, etc discs from several states.

use to find 4-5 every summer here at the swap meet held around the lakes. May- July- September on the holiday weekends. most were not unit marked but complete and little to no wear. The auctions in the area would produce painted helmets and right from the vets house along with a uniform, gas masks, trench art etc and a yard long . Sometimes a german helmet or a spike. Met a few WW1 vets as they were moving to retirement homes in their later years.
