Well, my memory failed me. I thought I purchased it in a footlocker. But, the footlocker it is in reads: POW TRINIDAD CO. Our hero was not a Trinidad POW. :) But, yes. I consider myself lucky. Actually, and honestly, undeserving. Which is why I want it donated and preserved. -

This was in the bottom of the box of artifacts from his Vietnam deployment (Infantry). I've heard stories about incoming rounds being stopped by gear, etc. What are the odds that this round stopped an incoming round & was kept as a memento? The missing primer makes sense, but the dent and perfectly round, perfectly centered hole through only one casing wall make me suspect. Then again, I've never been shot at. Have any of you seen (or experienced) this sort of thing before? -

Greetings from Massachusetts, USA. I was an Infantryman in the Marines from 1979-83. You live near a very famous area as I am sure you know. I have attached a photo of some of my collection, USMC and my personal photos. I hope you are well Chuck G -

It was hard to find anything on google about early paratrooper ovals so it's good to see the source! This was the only thing that popped up, even when searching this website. What's your take on this oval? -

Gear Fan I was asking what these boots were, as they are clearly not regular WWII double-buckle boots. The description and title advertise them as such. I apologize. Thank you all for your time. Wade -
