Seam Grip should work well for that; it stays flexible after it dries. Depending on how much of the seam you have to reseal, you may consider doing it in a couple of sections. Spread a light coat Seam Grip on then clamp or weight it overnight. I use binder clips and either popsicle sticks or pieces of flat metal to distribute the clampin pressure. Good luck with the repair! -

That’s messed up! It’s just so sad that so much mail gets stolen these days! Even here in Belgium, it’s a big problem. Really a shame that some thief stole this piece. Hope it finds its way back to you! -

Last year, at the big 3 day show in Phoenix, I did see an original Zoave rifle ,with the bayonet and the original scabbard, for sale. He was asking $1500 . I have to say I was tempted. -

There sure is, but when you get directly from the vet, there is no question. It is unfortunate that we have evil people in this world who prey on others! -

Greetings, I am helping the family research the service of a US KW/VN USMC vet? Would very much appreciate any help you can provide. The family gave me a box of official papers from 1955 to about 1963, his KW camo helmet cover, and his duffle bag to assist the research. His name was Arthur Gerold Stansbury, born March 14, 1928, his marine corp service number 630862, and passed 2014. Based on paperwork available, he received a citation for the Incon landings with the 1st Marine Division in the Korean war. He received a purple heart, listed as gunnery sgt, his duffle bag is marked as a support company with amphibious tractor supporting air services. He is said to have went in the service underage with the permission of his parents. Can anyone help me determine when he enlisted, if he was in WWIi, if so which engagements, when he received his purple heart, and how much of the Korean conflict he was in. Finally, his involvement and duration in the Vietnam conflict and when he retired from service (I believe he was in for 27 yrs). I have his duffle bag and camo helmet cover (KW issue). Thank you so much for your assistance in advance. -
