Resurrecting this thread as I recently obtained another item from one of the Koss brothers. My friend Frank who, connected me with John's son who had all this stuff, found an A-2 jacket and donated it to me. He wasn't sure who it belonged to but it was pretty clear it was Joe's. The jacket is rather beat but it was his so it has an honored place in the collection. There was a name of a Lt. whom I researched and found was shot down on his first mission with the 464th, also another laundry number, so possibly Joe was the third owner of the jacket. It had been hung on a hanger, (ugh!!) and the patches (squadrons, flag and shoulders) are missing but I'm happy to have it. See the pics below.  Always nice to add to a group I have had since 2009!!  Enjoy,  Mark

Yes, H&H not Meyer, my bad. At any rate, for some reason, I was under the impression that applied continents were a post WW1 feature?

Hello.  I purchased this excellent early American dirk recently.  It has gold wire knots/tassels attached to the scabbard rings still.  Has anyone here run across these knots on an early American dirk before?     Any info would be appreciated.  Thank you.       --Matthew Brice

Hello Everyone, I need some help determining if this 1920’s Naval Aviation Observer’s Wing is genuine or a reproduction.  It is gold colored, it is marked “STERLING” and “AMICO”, also has a “C” clasp.  The reverse looks rough to me.  I’m thinking reproduction.   If this is a reproduction what would a value be.  Thank you for your assistance.   Semper Fi, Bruce Linz

Hello!    I’m new to the forum… seeking some experience from yall. I dig for antique bottles, and occasionally I find a unique piece of militaria.     Looking to see if I can find any information on this service member, or info about the tag itself. It appears to have belonged to Sgt Kenneth D Goodrich, 2nd Cav Troop H. I haven’t been able to find anything on Sgt Goodrich, so I requested a 214 equivalent.    Is it safe to assume May 5 1 is an enlistment date of May 05 1901? The pit was early 1900s, for context.
