Only known Navy ambulance Jeep?     You should have asked to see the other one I have.  My opinion on this is that it was originally a navy Seabee  Jeep late war or early post war and then passed to the marine corps as a hand me down and converted  in to an ambulance for Korea, Hence the usmc overpaint.

Was the Marine whom served in  F/2/7 also a replacement or might he have been a Fox Company Chosin survivor? If you want a good read, The Last Stand of Fox Company provides a glimpse of what hell they went through. Second photo are all first-class reads... primarily dealing with the early months in Korea and the Chosin campaign. East of Chosin concerns the US Army's 31st RCT and subsequent tragedy which resulted. The Outpost War & The Final Crucible take it from after the Marines and Army were evacuated from Hungnam to the armistice...

VERY nice brassard. You should post it over on the other forum topic, Post your military armbands. It would be a welcomed addition.

Hey all,   Is this medic armband from WWII? The only markings on it are some small numbers next to the Red Cross. Thank you for any help!   Jake

Adolph Nicholas Michael Tryba   I think he was assigned at one time to the 39th C.A. Brigade which was Coastal Artillery but his later job was that of Civil Engineer.   Hope this helps.                                 Ancesatry - Adolph Nicholas Michael Tryba.pdf Death Certificate - Adolf M Tryba.pdf WWII NARA Morning Reports - Adolf M Tryba.pdf

Thank you everyone for your input. One last thing, note the folds at the bottom of the jumper and the double folds on the arms. Pure speculation but this may have been mounted in a shadow box at one time.   Thank again Tom
