SS that is a really cool helmet for a Fireman Apprentice on the floating dry-dock. That’s exactly the same helmet type as mine in post #1. Thanks for posting!!! -

Sorry to hear this. The post office is soon reaching its tipping point to worthlessness as it continues its slide towards horrible service at every level. Shipping US mail since since the mid 70s on a consistent basis and never have I had so many problems as I do at present. -

That is a great find. Maybe you could check if the same name as on the ribbon bar is written in one or both of the jackets :)) -

An early contract date UCP patrol cap from 2004. The Velcro on the back looks like it might have been a later addition? -

Hello everyone, this is definitely a long shinola here but I think the more awareness I spread the likelihood of this helmet being returned to me increases. I had bought this helmet off a Facebook friend and sent to my mothers PO Box in Irvine California. I am in the Navy and stationed in San Diego so I typically just send my mail there. It arrived Saturday May 2nd. When my mother went to pick it up on Monday she found a key in her PO Box that would open a Parcel locker. Upon going to the Parcel she found that it was already open and no package was inside. After talking to the people working there they have since told us that they had stopped using those specific parcels because they do not close and most are broken. The workers most concluded that it was most likely stolen from the open locker. I have filed case reports that seem to give me the same answer that it was deemed lost. I have called that specific post office over 200 times and counting only to be met by the abrupt hang up of someone on the other line. They are grossly incompetent and refuse to answer any phone calls. I have called consumer affairs 80 times and they do not pick up the phone. And when filing a police report I was told that the post office is not there jurisdiction since it is a federal case. Please if anyone has any info or collects in the Irvine CA area please let me know. -
