I am well aware of this but I am technically not sell them at the moment or at least I dont list them for sale in my post. I was just mearly trying to see if anyone collects them and if there would be any interest in them. However Bill said something about not being able to buy them because he is new.    If you have a issue with this post please take it down but I did nothing wrong.

that is very cool! if you try to find that helmet anywhere else people would demand that you pay them an insane price for some reason even though they are not worth that much. it is even better that you found the uniforms and his flashlights and more gear. that is a nice addition to your collection.

It might be the breast strap from the GS manpack board.

Those are not a sweetheart wings. That's the normal wings. There's 1" 2" and 3" versions of them. There's also sweetheart version of them but they are super small and are easy to recognize.

Early in the flight training program, the instructors put together a "craft" day for the students of each class as a bonding project: come up with a unique design for the visor covers of class flight helmets. The design above is what our class eventually agreed to and we used a box of leftover vinyl craft tape to apply it. There were two rules for the project:  the design couldn't be obscene and the edges of the design had to be 1/4-inch away from the edges of the visor cover so edge cracks in the covers could be spotted before spreading.  Once finished, a soft strip of felt was added at the top to keep helmets from scratching the aircraft canopies.   After completing flight school, your first operational assignment location would 'pour' you a new helmet. For me it was a grey combat type for C-130s; not sure what the issue/stock number was, I couldn't find one.  I carried & wore this one for the rest of my 20 years in the USAF. It had provision for NVGs (which I didn't get to keep) and has a Velcro patch in the back for the battery pack (the weight of the battery pack on the back would help balance the weight of the NVGs out over the front).

They are not your normal or standard USAAC wing. And they are gold plated ontop of sterling silver. For one they are fairly small coming in around 2". Second they say pat Aplied for on them. Yes there's smaller versions of the normal wings they are fairly common however I have never seen these wings before.    As far as I know the real wings never had pat applied for or pat pending on them. They either were just marked sterling and or had a actual maker mark on them.
