Hey guys,   I recently bought a footlocker belonging to Captain Lev G. Forquer.  In it was his uniform jacket, officer's cap, leggings, map case, desk placards, and this bag.  I couldn't find out much information on it.  What can you all tell me about it?  What would be a good value on it?  I know it was made at the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot (my home town!).  Any information would be greatly appreciated!   JQMD

Rare uniforms were mentioned by OP, so here's a pair in my collection: Size: 44Wx33L M1937 wool trousers. Original, unissued.    "PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY PANTS!"

Nice mask. I have one as well but do you have a question or is this a "show and tell"? Can't wait to see your next spectacular display! Dave

You can try but I have yet to see it successfully done. Buy them right and they will last your lifetime. I have an AN-J-4 that can easily stand by itself. The original owner/vet put it on for old time sake(when I wasn't there to give dissenting advise) and tore one sleeve out of it. It otherwise looked to be really nice but smaller size. It's in a footlocker or I'd take a pic. If not purchased, and it's given to you, etc., just stabilize it the best you can mechanically. JMO, Dave

Hello everyone,   I wanted to share this recent acquisition I bought from the vet’s granddaughter. His name is C H E S T E R   L O N G. He was a cowboy in Wyoming before being assigned to the 363rd Infantry Regiment and fought all through the later campaigns in Italy. I was able to secure his complete (minus shoes) dress uniform, a few bits on insignia, and a German Heer belt buckle supposedly taken from the German soldier who shot him. His family couldn’t part with his shadow box though, but I can’t fault them for that.    I was able to find him in the 363rd unit history online, but I cannot find his enlistment information or anything in the national archives catalog. When I search his serial number, a different solder from the 363rd come up. Likely a clerical error.    regardless, please enjoy

Yeah, if it came with the gun then.....  😄

Agree that this run-n-gun attempt to get stuff/cancel purchases is on you and shouldn't be on someone else. AI is no way to learn how to collect. The apparent short-term benefits are already leading you astray.
