Thanks for both of your thoughts. Thanks also for looking in the Belt Plate book. It’s a neat piece even by itself. -

I looked in American Military Belt Plates (Odonnell & Campbell), but couldn't locate that manufacturer for 1839 belt/cartridge box plate. I'd bet it's a dug lead backing that became separated from it's brass front. I'd keep it. Kinda cool -

Thanks very much for the kind works. And yes, the last steps are those I like most. Applying the decals (which was challenging again), clear parts, stains, shading, weathering, highlighting and detail painting. All the things you do to avoid a single color camo looking too monotone. After having finished everything I looked at the photo at the box for a last time. There I noticed the straps for mounting the cal .50 ammo boxes at the turret. I checked the sprues and the manual again, they were not included. Maybe I will add them at a later time... (in the next life). Here are the final shots of the Paladin. Thanks for looking and thanks for your kind feedback! -

There’s a soils of war subforum here too, it could be posted there as well so it doesn’t disappear. Very nice set! -

Very interesting. I remember Clint Eastwood gunning down five men in the saloon-whore house in the movie The Unforgiven. Always wanted one. Thanks for posting. -
