Hello Big: Nice revolver. I would also use collector shorthand and call it a pre-Victory. I encourage you to get a letter from the S&W Historical Foundation. In the meantime, from the Victory Model Database I can tell you that your revolver likely shipped in the April-May, 1942 time frame. It shipped to a defense contractor in the aviation industry. I try and keep it related to what my grandfather would have used, i.e. uniforms and some gear, B-17 related, etc. -
