Greetings all. Here is a nice one in my opinion. Named. The seller was kind enough to include some basic info on the Man who wore it. When I get this one in, I am going to give it a bath carefully with Whink  rust remover and it will be a good home for a Saint Clair liner I have. The nice thing about Whink is that it does not effect the paint. It just removes the rust. I will post some pictures after the rust is removed.   Cheers!

I did a quick look on Find a Grave, and the veteran passed in 1989.  The display looks like something that was put together sometime between now and then, likely by a family member, because the items are arranged in a bit of a jumble.     My guess is the family member likely passed recently, and nobody left in their family knew the veteran.  It is sad.  However, I think somebody clearly loved and wanted to honor him.     Hopefully, the next person takes the responsibility of honoring and keeping this veteran's memory alive as well.

The only way to find out for sure what its worth is to put it up for auction on eBay but I think the individual cans will brink a bit more than $20 each.   I would want the crate without the cans.   Are you buying, selling or just wondering?

They even included the Mans Purple Heart Citation... An item like this, I dont know? There could be a family member that wanted it and never got it, or it was just thrown out?

Thank you Matt! Ive been admiring these for decades and this one will fit! Finally got one! Now I need to find a liner. I think they developed these or they appeared in the late 1970's...? and they wore them in Desert Storm.

Fantastic thank you for taking the time.. After searching 612 Ordnance Battalion looks like he was a combat engineer. The battalion helped clear mines, demolished and build Bailey bridges
