hello, I do work for a well-known dealer. I do like the overall look of this. As it has already been mentioned; this needs to be examined in person. Another thing to think about. We had one come into the shop, and it was 'right'. However, something seemed off and we could not put our finger on it. We had it x-rayed. It turned out the wreath was real, but it was broken in three pieces and expertly 'pinned' together. And the repairs had been camouflaged to deceive. So, I would double check for repairs as well. Assuming it is good. Cheers! -

Previous thread I found on the forums about jump school helmets, https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/319357-what-do-the-numbers-on-a-jump-liner-mean/ -

Newest helmet acquisition, Vietnam Era to 70s? M1C, helmet with P64 airborne liner. Shell was originally "apple green" color, it's been repainted darker stenciled in blue with number: "413" on front and back of shell. The Heatsamp number is worn and hard to make out. The liner has no mold markings or info, All contact and, date info on the webbing/sweatband is faded. No markings on the buckle hardware. The helmet band has cateyes and is marked on one side with the name "BERUNG"(?) the other side of the band is humorously marked with the Phrases: "kick me!" "Bonehead" "101st Wimp!". -

Thank you. Every once in a while, a blind dog finds a bone. I didn't make the first day, I just happened to be going to another estate sale on the same day and it was by the same company. Purchased a Colonels grouping there and they mentioned that their other estate sale had military stuff too. Uniform and medals of the General at 1/2 price: about $125.00 for everything. The Distinguished Service Medal was $25.00 ($50 full price). Gen. Boh________ started out in the Civilian Conservation Corp as a doctor and was commissioned into the Army before WW2. Passed away in 1994. Interred at the USAF Academy Cemetery. Seems most of the estate sale crowd are looking for midcentury modern or gold or silver now days. -

LOL. Sorry if I misled you. I told Lars I was going to do that and he said it was OK to post NCC-1701-A here. There are plenty of talented people on this site and lots of great work that I hope you get a chance to check out. Semper Fi. Manny -

Thanks, and I agree with that it’s nice to see when someone takes an interest in family history and also their military history.
