Last weekend best friend and I did the Raleigh militaria show, set up Friday and came back Saturday AM. Uncovering my table discovered some low lay scum bag had stolen my 45 dated " China Lantern" newspaper. Had notes written inside by GI in black ink. I collect some CBI items and this was an extra " China Lantern" that was framed in poster frame with clear plastic on both sides so one could see/ read whole paper. This is other framed copy which Im keeping . -

101st patch removed from jungle jacket. Can see the fade to the thread. Fairly common to see the thread used in country to fake as the dye was natural based dye. Seen colors fade to grey or white -

That is a very beautiful jacket for sure. I noticed the label shows Panama. I then found this newspaper article that is the Panama connection and gives his rank at the time and a date timeframe for the jacket. -

This is a beautiful army air corps mess dress uniform dated 1939, belonging to Colonel Henry G Woodward. I was told by the seller that I can find photos of him on the Connecticut State Library’s website but it won’t let me access them.
