Here is some information I located for him. Be advised that US Army WWII morning reports at NARA only go up to Dec 44 at present. His obituary indicates that he spent time in the ETO, Germany specifically. Sourced from NARA, Ancestry and Find A Grave: The Fitzsimmons General Hospital (Aurora, CO) Medical Department Replacement Pool showing he moved from temporary duty at Bushnell General Hospital (Brigham City, UT) to the Medical Field Service School, Carlisle Barracks, PA for temporary duty there. After temporary duty at Medical Field Service School, Carlisle Barracks, PA, he was transferred to Fort Douglas, UT: Photo of him via Ancestry -

I had already posted the wings in the relevant wings section of the forum, but as they are all recent finds, I’ll stick them here too. Super happy to add them to the collection, wings are addictive. -

Ok thanks for the update. Always associate Union Station with DC. Just like there is only one Grand Central. But southern pacific did not have a route into DC. -

A few small items from the past week, pretty happy with being able to pair up some medical DUIs at last and super pleased with another plastic Carlisle tin and the suture that is almost full. Not sure if it’s wartime or pre ww2. The ring is pretty neat, not sure on how old it is though, but nice to find something a little different Ignore the tags, I chanced upon an original chain and attached my own… -

The ticket shows a departure from a union station, which could have been located in any number of cities; it does not show a destination, as far as I can tell. -
