Probably should better posted in our worldwide forum, but I can tell you it was made 1905-06 by a London maker….i just can’t read the makers mark….English silver is usually well marked allowing us to ID the year, city and maker -

Nice collection. My Dad and I both retired from the BOP. If you ever let the cap badge with "CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS" go, please contact me. Thanks. -

Don't think I posted the whole collection yet. Most are US Navy with a few British Navy and one Japanese WW2 Navy and an early Russian one before the revolution with the ships name. It kind of got out of hand collecting these. Love the Navy movie with Tom Hanks as the captain of a WW2 destroyer where you see the Boatswain mate of the watch piping brings back memories when I did it plus our bridge was old some same equipment on the bridge as in the movie. -

This is British issued, but we have more knowledge here than at the WMF forum the mads can delete it if they want. Being a retired boatswain mate, I can't help myself when I see a cool pipe. The year 1905 got me that's early might be the oldest pipe in the collection. Can anyone give me info on this one paid close to what I paid for my dragon pipe in the collection. -

I'm on the long journey of building up my 30s into 40s medical collection and looking to fill out some pouches and instrument sets, I'm currently. I'm struggling to find information on the sizes of the Lister/bandage scissors. They have an item number of 3468000. I think the following companys made them and would be period correct but maybe others exist? REX CHROME USA Clauss Sico Sharp Cutter It would be nice to find some period correct stuff If I can, any help on what makers to look for or if you have some bits to spare it would be appreciated. -

@Cobra 6 Actual You nailed it. Thank you! I did a quick search... "The Chesapeake Dry Dock and Construction Company started in 1886, and was renamed the Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company in 1890" and "Newport News Naval Shipyard, also known Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, or Newport News Shipbuilding, was developed in 1886 by powerful businessman and railroad mogul, Collis Potter Huntington. Throughout its nearly 140-year history, the shipyard has built over 800 ships and is currently the military's top builder."
