The good news is that there are lot of nice one's around and they are about the most undervalued US surplus gun on the market at the moment. A ton of info to research so you won't make a bad choice. Very accurate shooters for the money. Good luck in the hunt! -

It looks vaguely like him but I don't think it is. He was Corps of Engineers (as show in post #2) until he took an appointment as a colonel of infantry, National Army, in 1917. -
