Came across these theater-made Office of War Information insignia in a box of insignia recently and was curious if anyone had information about their origin and/or value. I have yet to find much on them. Any help is much appreciated. -

I don't know about Robbins, but I believe Josiah Odence made their wings with a die that did not create the voids, and the voids were made later either with another die to create them or by drilling and cutting out the voids. I have a J/O Naval Aviator without the voids and it is the only one I have ever seen. Also on some other Naval Aviator wings the voids are perfect circles that appear to have been drilled after the wings were struck. -

I would agree more likely to be sweetheart/jewelry than instructor. I noticed that it also has the loop on the catch typically used to attach a small chain to connect with another small pin. -

I still have lots to clean up on them but I feel good about the faces and that is a huge win! -

Hi, Everyone! We are very excited to announce that we are finally getting the long-awaited software upgrade and that it will be happening next week, starting on Tuesday, July 21st. Hopefully it will be back up and running in twenty-four hours, but with software, the end time is always flexible. :) Please be aware that the site will be offline during the upgrade and that when it comes back on, it is going to look a little different, as this is a major software upgrade. We will be working in the days following to get the colour and layout fixed as quickly as possible. While there will be some cosmetic differences, it is a very exciting update as this new version of our software features advanced security features and a better mobile web experience, making it easier and more efficient for all types of devices. WMF is being upgraded on Monday, so while USMF is down on Tuesday, we encourage you to go take a look at WMF and familiarize yourself with the layout! Thanks for your understanding and consideration during this time! The USMF Admin Team -

Faces, and especially eyes are the worst! Luckily they are starting to turn out better. -

The grouping dates primarily between September 1942 and May 1943, charting the exact movement of 32 American combat medics from initial training in the United States, across the Atlantic on specialized troopships, and through the bloody landscapes of the North African Campaign. Pinned to the canvas are the physical spoils of war alongside the veteran's personal decorations, complemented by a highly rare German Panzer Command Vehicle Pennant Can anyone Provide additional details, this flag was left to me by my deceased father.
