Here's an early uniform that I picked up from the family a few months back, the uniform of Pennsylvania vet, First Sergeant Wilbert G. Buohl, who served from 1901 to 1905. This will be a fun research project, according to his obituary, he was on the honor guard at the funeral for President Mckinley, he also went overseas to the Philippines. I'll have to order his records when I get the chance. -

More likely that this is the clearance of hulks and navigational hazards in Manila Bay. I knew a man assigned to this task in 1945-1946, Very nice PI buckle and a 'keeper' in any collection. -

Did a quick check in the "History of the Artillery, Cavalry and Infantry Branch of Service Insignia BY LAFRAMBOISE Cannon style and design match the 1907 change when center shields were removed BUT The WING-SPAN on yours is larger by a good bit. I would add it to my collection with no problem ++++
