This one may also be a civilian Police helmet. It's 'too blue' for my eyes. -

I don't know whats wrong with me. I start with one and end up with 100. I;m running out of room collecting. But it's fun. I like when I get a real deal and not even know it until later. There is a site called The War Front that has quite a few good deals on things. -

I have not been able to identify what team this pristine yellow and black striped liner is associated with. This is a USN WWII issue Firestone helmet liner that is painted yellow and features two strips of black electrical tape that run from the front left to the right rear. The liner has a residue that appears to have been from a 2" x 3" rectangular decal with rounded corners that was attached front and center at one time. While researching what team this liner would be associated with, I ran across an M1 helmet that is for sale by Vintage Productions - the helmet is yellow with a single black stripe running front to rear center - see last photo. -

I'm thinking that's the contents of this unopened kit I have. There is an opened kit in a box (around here somewhere)... I remember it because of the morphine. Did you ever get useful information on the sale or donation of a kit like this? -

Given the last encounter with this member regarding his knowledge and expertise on M1 helmets, (or lack of knowledge I should say).... I believe he still wants to try to engage members,,, (even after he requested to have his account deleted).....He still feels the need to add to topics, or create them (which is fine),,,, but with that said, he asked for help with two other topics he started, members there replied and he has since ghosted with not even a thank you to those topics, this one included.... Not too hard to remove the masks from the wall to take some pictures .....I don't expect too much of a reply from this member... You can lead horse to water,,,,, as they say.... Leigh -

Likewise, words like "rare" or "uncommon" also do not imply valuable so while technically true about some things, the words need not be used. I say that because you are the only one what attributed those words to the cover. Others have chimed in and I agreed with them the first time I read your post title(click bait?) Just not sure what you expect to hear to an open-ended question about a poor, repro cover on a site of collectors of original items. I'm not sure there is a satisfactory answer for you. Tell us, what do YOU want to do with it? Dave
