Each component that was reworked got a rework sticker. I can see one sticker on the inertia reel of your seat. It is likely the reel was the only thing reworked at that time, not the entire seat. You may find similar stickers on the drogue gun, TRM, guillotine or any major component that had a specific maintenance interval. Like Chris said, without the seat's individual logbook, it will be hard to trace. -

Now that is really cool! You just don't find something like that everyday. -Ski -

Hi all! This group recently came in to my possession, I always try and pick up XIth Air Defense Command related uniforms when I can. Ike jacket group of T/4 Russell R Bartlome of the 784th AAA BN. He was an Ohio native that served as a cook in C Battery, and showing that even cooks are in the thick of things, received a Purple Heart. His bringbacks include two Luftshutz patches and a Heer signals NCO board. Their unit history is quite detailed as well, and pretty much has photos with everyone in the unit. The theater made 1st Army patch also caught my eye. -

Whichever one you feel most comfortable donating to would be fine. I think they would both be a great choice. I know you can get a tax donation for the WASP Museum. I do not know if this is true for the university. -

Do you think it might be better for the museum in Sweetwater to have it? It looks like a nice museum online. -

The TWU does an amazing job with the history of the WASPs. There is also a WASP Museum in Sweetwater. It is on my bucket list to visit one day. Also, I meant to add that WAFS stands for Women's Auxiliary Ferry Squadron which is why I mentioned she may have put the AUX before her name. ..Kat ..Kat -

I’m going to donate it to the Texas Women’s University if they want it. They have a nice collection of photos and artifacts belonging to notable women aviators. -

I got this response from the Naval Aviation Museum.... Mr. Ranone, I received your research request regarding your Martin Baker ejection seat. Unfortunately, we don’t track that type of information, your seat which is a GRU-7(A) was used in the F-14A and B’s while we do have 80 Tomcats on our books most likely yours came from one of the airframes that did not survive the scrapper. I will keep this email flagged and if we come across any further information I will let you know
