Very poignant and exceptional CBI group. Fascinating material and sad. -

Thank you. Always been a bit fascinated with the operations in Burma. Would very much like to see a movie made about the campaign, perhaps even about the Chindits. Great group. The CBI vets sure were in some exotic places and about as far away from home as one could get. -

I just looked at some more pictures I have....noticed a few more Rework stickers. One I can't see well so I don't know the date.....The other appears to have the same Q1 1988 date. I've attached a variety of other markings that i have pics of. There may be more but I won't know until I see it in person. -

Interesting finds! Where did you find these remnants of temp. grave markers? Were they close to any town-known combat area or just random areas? Please let us know the final disposition of the men you can identify. Good work! Thanks, Steve -

Yeah, seems like this isn't going to lead to anything but its worth a shot and kinda fun. I actually don't have the seat in my possession yet, I live in RI and its located in Maryland. I am heading down next weekend to bring it home so when i get it, i'll see if there are any more stickers. The person I purchased it from obtained it at an estate sale, apparently the estate of the Pilot. He said he had a number of other F-14 bits and pieces as part of his estate. No clue how he managed to bring all that stuff home. The only thing he was able to learn from the seller was that the Pilot trained the Iranians when we sold them Tomcats in the 70's. But not sure if this seat came from a Jet he flew or not. The search continues :) -

Each component that was reworked got a rework sticker. I can see one sticker on the inertia reel of your seat. It is likely the reel was the only thing reworked at that time, not the entire seat. You may find similar stickers on the drogue gun, TRM, guillotine or any major component that had a specific maintenance interval. Like Chris said, without the seat's individual logbook, it will be hard to trace. -

Now that is really cool! You just don't find something like that everyday. -Ski
