About the only thing I collect and I’m not being too aggressive about looking for new ones. This New Testament has been the one most special to me out of about 80. I’ve tried to previously contact a family member to give it to but not much luck. -

I don't recall reading that Gen. Less said it was God's plan for white folks to own black folks. However he did say that if the North turned the war from a war over the right of succession to a war to free slaves than the South would lose the moral high ground. The demise of King Cotton kept the UK from allyng with the Confederate State. Many constituional questions where part of the war. The Gettysburg Address freed no one. Kentucky, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware all retained their laves even after the war. Interesting conversation. -

What I know, all the French stuff is corrosive primers making it worth about nothing. I have a bag full of this stuff and I can't give it away. Nobody out there with an M1 Carbine is willing to shoot the stuff ( hard to properly clean the corrosive salts from the Carbine internals). Mine are headstamped VE-BD and VE-N. Also, they non reloadable, Berdan primed. I guess someone can pull the projectiles and reload them. You can pull up a search on the reloading / mil surp ammo blogs, I cant even give the stuff away. -

Finally found one in the wild at an antique store in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Has the 1943 sticker overlaying the impressed 1942 on the plate. -

Is this one of those novelty patches of the type that would have been worn on the back of a GI's "tour jacket"? Size 7 x 10 1/2 inches. Made in Japan or Korea?
