This was nagging me as I know I saw it before. Looking more at it, the number is 7704. It is for sure class 1977-04 at Reese afb. Sorry for the confusion!   Randy

If the cord is silver and black it is pre war West Point Cadet or Warrant Officer.

R. Leonard, yes sir. I have been communicating with several families from this cruise, to include "Blackie's son. Another veterans family sent a poem to me written by Bob Pelton (Back row, far right). I'll post it later.  Thanks    

This is a recent pickup I thought I would share. The USN engraving is partially visible on the bottom of the blade near the cross guard. The knuckle bow has the number 15 still visible. The leather scabbard is mostly intact.

Does anyone know if the Facebook group for this unit is still active? I can’t seem to find it, but I would be very interested in joining.   I have a uniform that belonged to one of the men from this unit. It was listed here on the forum before, and at the time it was thought to be connected to a tank destroyer unit. However, after finding more information about the soldier, it appears he was not actually in a tank destroyer unit.   Any help finding the Facebook group, or any additional information about the unit or the soldier, would be greatly appreciated.
