Thank you Ron. This is a huge amount of money for me. I have always hesitated to buy guns I have never touched before. And found that taking a day and getting other opinions always gives me a little more peace of mind.   I have had some people point out things I have not seen before.

I can tell you that the seller is as honest as they get. You can rest assured he knows his 1911/1911A1 pistols and every part is and will be correct. It is a fine piece that is certainly worth the money and you know it is not a pieced together pistol. I would not have any hesitation getting if I were you. Ron

Yes, I didn't think of that. Maybe 'Valerie' is the first name... I guess we'll never know for sure. But I'm trying to preserve it for the future by not wearing it too often so the writing doesn't smudge or fade
