Our M1909 Armleder ambulance wagon, it is currently being fully restored. In addition, you can see another chassis and wheels for the M1909 made by Studebaker. That one is for sale or trade if anyone is interested. Scott -

I thought it odd too. But they did wear USMC uniforms with navy rates. My guess is its a veteran's made jacket. Thanks -

I think we are all happy that you are taking the time to research and honor your lost relative, and preserve his memory. Below is a video about him, interestingly mentioning the Regimental history book we found, where he wrote one of the chapters. One thing that is really neat is one of the pictures...the CDV used below...has his name and Regiment marked on it. Most of the time we find just a picture, and without any attribution. -

Hi Ken, that's a great comparison photo, it's amazing to see that the biggest change is the cobbles around the statue, the buildings are almost unchanged since 1944.
