. Hi earlymb, I went into Ste Mere Eglise this morning with the Jeep for a coffee, the town was heaving with parked cars and tourists. So later I thought I would drop down into Carentan to take a comparison shot of the image that you posted. I went in the car as I thought Carentan would also be heaving with parked cars, sadly I would have had a perfect place to park the Jeep if I had taken it, well it is what it is . . . . Norman D. Great grouping. Do you know the names of the crew members in the photo of 'Hellsapoppin'? -

Hello, i bought this US Army M65 Fieldjacket in Germany, It is dated 1982. there is also a name and a number, the name is "Davis Valerie" (i think its "Valerie", but "Davis" is clearly visible), and the number is "489-88-8456". There is also a circle with the number 11, but i'm not sure it's almost invisible, Maybe it is possible to find out who he was? probably not, especially after so many years, but i'm still curious. -

Can you check for two different people. Private William I Bolinger. He was in Battery C 114th Field Artillery 55th Field Artillery Brigade 30th Division. But they never served with the 30th while in France. Corporal or Sergeant Oscar M Hansen. He was in Co D 142nd Infantry Regiment 36th Division. They served with the French Fourth Army. Thank you -

Ha ha ha, imagine that. Great eye, Randy. I hadn't even noticed. I had a feeling the patch was made in Asai somewhere, just not where. -

I think that's an older German AF squadron 741. If you look close you'll see the unit number in the stripes. Made in Taiwan. Randy -
