Riker mounts are excellent for viewing your items on display. If your looking to preserve it I would keep in it’s original box and in the dark. Any light could eventually fade out that ribbon. i had a terrible experience where my things were in rikers on display in a room that had no windows and was kept dark most of the day. The lighting in the room faded out several items. -

Battle of Bagsak Mountain, Jolo Island, Sulu Archipelago in Philippines. June 11-15, 1913. End of Moro Insurecution. Black Jack Pershing gets recommended for Medal of Honor, declines and gets Soldiers Medal. 1911 .45 "first" used. 8th US Infantry main US force I think. I had all the prints at one time. They used to be free. I don't the "main" character is the general. But what do I know what the artist was thinking. -

Thank you Patches! Awesome photos. I forgot about pocket patches. Probably should've known that's what they really are. And thanks for the additional information & confirmation that they're all of the period. I'm learning so much. -

The Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS) is still around. You might try contacting them to see what they might have in their files: https://loyallegion.org As far as what to put it in, most of us use "Riker" cases...or other brands in the same style...Ruddles Mills products being the most widely used. These cases come in many different sizes and thicknesses. They are black framed glass cases with padding inside. For your use, the padding can be trimmed away for the medal box. The problem is unless you go to a Show the shipping gets expensive, and online many places want to sell you these in case lots. Some Forum members sell these, and hopefully can chime in with what you need. I am NOT suggesting you buy these from this link, but this will give you an idea what the cases look like and some of the various sizes. I think at a Show the case size you need would be plus or minus around $8: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08WBYWWD4?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback&th=1
